Auckland Lantern Festival

 

The Auckland Lantern Festival celebrates its 10th year in the Year of the Ox at Albert Park in Auckland. Choose from dozens of delicious food stalls and picnic on the grass amidst the glow of hundreds of beautiful feature lanterns specially commissioned in China. Enjoy non-stop free entertainment, including our visiting performers from China. Marking the end of the two week Chinese Lunar New Year festivities, the Auckland Lantern Festival is organised by Asia New Zealand Foundation in partnership with Auckland City Council.
